Eighteenth-century pictures as historical evidence.
Both subjects are taught using the extensive resources of the collection which
is mainly made up of paintings, prints and drawings by Thomas Gainsborough, Henry
William Bunbury and Gainsborough Dupont.
Tutor
Hugh Belsey BA, MLitt, Curator at Gainsborough's House
Hugh Belsey is experienced as a tutor. He has worked with the Open University
and the International Summer School, University of Cambridge, and lectures widely
on eighteenth-century British Art. He teaches small groups of sixth formers and
students in Further Education on a one-off basis, tailoring these sessions to the
needs of their particular courses.
Group teaching fee
£15.30 per hour for the group
+ £1.50 entrance fee per student (entrance fee waived for Friends)
There is also a library which can be used by
appointment for research purposes.
