A Journey with Monotypes with Susan Jones

A three day workshop with Sue Jones exploring the exciting possibilities of Monotypes. From transfer drawing, subtractive and painterly methods to pattern, texture, found objects, ghost and shadow printing and including the use of stencils, masks and layering to make unique and vibrant images. Experiment further with the introduction of Drypoint to make hybrid prints. A very creative three days and suitable for those new to printmaking as well as experienced printmakers.

Susan’s prints are inspired by landscape and are infused with a sense of mystery, vitality, colour and space. Her Monoprints or Monotypes, are unique pieces constructed of many layers. Sue worked as Lead Tutor and Studio Manager at The Curwen Print Study Centre for 17 years.
