Lino can be used to produce prints that are delicately layered and richly coloured. Learn how to use cutting tools and caustic soda to mark the printing plate in unique ways and to apply ink in thin layers for a more painterly effect.
For over fifteen years Carl has been working with relief printing and lino cuts. Experiment with relief techniques has introduced richer texture to his work. Many of his prints are produced without a press by hand burnishing on Japanese paper.
