Courses
Morning and Evening Classes, Taster Days and Summer Courses are
organised on an on-going basis. One-off sessions at a general or specialist level can be arranged for schools and
other groups. Around 20 participants can be accommodated for demonstrations, twelve for hands-on work. For more information

Morning and Evening Classes
These classes are designed to serve as an introduction for newcomers to printmaking and they also
allow those with some experience to build on their skills. There are two courses one on Tuesday mornings 10.00am - 12.30pm and one on
Wednesday evenings 7.30 to 9.30 pm, organised in three
ten-week terms.
Tuesday mornings with Sue Molineux
These sessions for adults (16+) offer both newcomers to printmaking and more experienced printmakers opportunities to learn new techniques or to develop their skills further.
Wednesday evenings with Ron Sims
This course includes relief printing on wood, lino and hardboard, chine collé, viscosity printing, drypoint, monoprinting, collagraphy and screen printing. Techniques will be
introduced and demonstrated at the
beginning of each term but students may work in their chosen medium at their own pace.
Summer Courses
The summer courses provide the opportunity to spend five days making prints in a
very special environment under expert instruction. The courses are intensive and aim to give students a thorough
grounding in the particular technique. With no more than nine enrolled on each course, students receive plenty of
individual attention and both beginners and those with previous experience will benefit. Specialist equipment and
materials are provided: all students need bring is some basic drawing materials (pencils pens crayons) a selection
of brushes, a craft knife, and most importantly, sketch book full of ideas.
Artsmart
Saturday morning art class for children 10.30am - 12.30pm
Children have the opportunity to improve their artistic skills and learn about many artists and styles. The class is suitable for children aged 7 - 12 and makes use of the facilities in the Education Centre and the Print Workshop. £65 per term (price includes all materials).
